Vegan Turmeric Ginger Dressing!

Easy Everyday | 08.08.17

Vegan Turmeric Ginger Dressing

It seems that I have a turmeric crush which cannot be stopped. It’s finding its way into everything I make these days! And this Vegan Turmeric Ginger Dressing turned out to be a total WIN!

Now you guys know how picky I am when it comes to salad dressings. I CANNOT handle disgusting, chemical filled, fake sugar dressings. So I had basically given up on all salad dressings and resolved to only use olive oil since that was the one thing I could find that tasted “real”, until the delicious 3 Ingredient Creamy Avocado Lime Dressing, of course!

While I love that dressing on this Chili Lime Ground Turkey Taco Salad and on ALL THE TACOS (and basically anything ever), I was looking to create something a little more…errr…sophisticated. Something that said “Hey, I’m good for you and taste excellently well-rounded and elegant. Let us ballroom dance as we listen to classical music and enjoy hors d’oeuvres,” rather than “FIEEEEESTAAAA!”. Ya know?

This Vegan Turmeric Ginger Dressing has a warm, savory flavor balanced by a touch of sweet.

Not to mention the bold, smooth flavor of the combination of turmeric and ginger that is nothing short of epic! Oh…and 5 ingredients, y’all. 5 INGREDIENTS! And all the lazy girls said AMEN.

Perfect topping to a delicious Roasted Sweet Potato Black Bean Salad or Sweet Potato Fennel Salad I would say! Here’s what you need for this Vegan Turmeric Ginger Dressing:

  • Ground Turmeric (<—-FAVE)
  • Ground Ginger (or freshly grated)
  • Agave Syrup
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Apple Cider Vinegar

I recommend always having all of these things on hand, just because they make the world go ’round. Thankfully, I just happened to have all of these things in stock when I randomly decided to make this recipe (check out the shop page to see what I keep in my kitchen)! 😉

Also, if you’ve never heard of turmeric or are curious about its AMAZING health benefits, head over to the Vegan Turmeric Quinoa Power Bowls recipe! It’s just my fave right now. FAVE!

Ilove this website, your recipes for out of this world.
I read that consuming agave is worst than consuming fructose corn syrup, can I use honey instead?

This is an anti-inflammatory powerhouse! I’m a sucker for anything ginger, but this packs a powerful healthy punch, too.

I’m with you on the store-bought salad dressings- once you make your own, you never go back! I’ve never added turmeric to a salad dressing before- great idea and I love the color!

Turmeric is one of those things I really love. And thank goodness because I think I love the anti-inflammatory properties even more than the actual spice!

This sounds so good! I need a new dressing this week..I tend to make the same thing for weeks on end and this is just what I need to switch things up. I put turmeric in everything but I don’t know why I’ve never put it in salad dressing! YUM.

Hi, Rita! It depends on how much of the dressing is used per serving. This is assuming that each serving is a little over a tablespoon! 🙂

    Hi Christine,
I reside in Windsor, Ontario. I am neither vegan nor vegetarian, but I enjoy the recipes. My yoga teacher had been ill and was drinking a brew she made with ginger and tumeric …. and a few other ingredients. A friend of mine who has been trying to fit back into his rookie pants was having a tumeric salad and I thought what recipes could be out there …..Google! I recently made friends with kale, quinoa and avacado, the avocado lime dressing may be next, and am looking forward to what else I may find on your page. Now I am off to Bulk Barn for tumeric powder, I only have roots, and more agave. (I have little jars full of different things all over my kitchen).
    Thank you.

This would be so good on a quinoa salad with spiced chickpeas and greens. Can’t wait to give it a try!
