There are actually several overnight oat recipes here on Jar Of Lemons (Strawberries & Cream Overnight Oats, Oatmeal Cookie Overnight Oats), but this one is more like the “original” recipe. From here, the flavors and toppings possibilities are endless!
I probably should have made this recipe and posted it before any of the others. Just think of it like the Star Wars movies. You saw the end result first, now here’s the beginning. AHEM: Nerd Alert.
Things you will need for this recipe:
- These mason jars,
- Berries
- Unsweetened almond milk
- Rolled oats
- Stevia
- Cinnamon
- Organic maple syrup (optional)
Are Overnight Oats Healthy?
Absolutely, they are a great source of fiber which gives you a nice energy boost and helps keep you fuller for longer so you’re less likely to go searching for sugary snacks later in the morning.
Depending on what you top them with they can also be full added nutrients from fresh fruits, nuts and seeds!
How to Prepare Overnight Oats
Simply place all ingredients except the berries in a mason jar, stir to combine and place in the fridge overnight. In the morning remove from the fridge and top with berries.
Either eat the overnight oats straight away or keep it sealed and enjoy it on the go.
Extra Tips To Remember
- The oats are served cold so there’s no need to heat them up
- You can replace the almond milk with another nut milk of choice
- Allow the oats to rest in the fridge for at least 6 hours or overnight if possible
- Add different flavorings such as vanilla
- Top with your favorite berries

I have always had trouble making good overnight oats. That was not the case with your recipe, I made them last night, and we just had some for breakfast. Delicious! I knew I was not using the right ratios or combinations. Your triple berry oats are fantastic. I can’t wait to make more; they are awesome for breakfast. Thanks so much!
