  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 8 oz. mushrooms
  • 1 red bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup black beans
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • salt/pepper


  • Place the ground turkey in a large pan or skillet and cook over medium-high heat.
  • Once the turkey is about half way done cooking, add in the mushrooms.
  • When the turkey is nearly finished cooking, add in the chopped peppers and black beans.
  • Cook until the vegetables are soft and the turkey is brown.
  • While everything is cooking, mix the remaining ingredients together in a bowl to create the sauce (adding salt/pepper to desired taste).
  • Pour the sauce over the turkey and veggies.
  • Simmer over medium-low heat for about 20 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Serve and enjoy or freeze for later!
