Ingredients

  • 1/2 bunch asparagus about 10-12 stalks
  • 1/4 cup infant rice cereal

Instructions

  • Wash and cut the asparagus stalks into small pieces, removing the tough end pieces.
  • Place the asparagus in a baby food maker or steaming basket and steam for 10-15 minutes (or until soft).
  • Blend the asparagus with leftover water from the steaming process to create a puree.
  • Mix in infant rice cereal and add more water or breast milk to achieve desired consistency.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or the freezer for up to 3 months!
