Easy Recipe for Pecan Pie Bars

These Pecan Pie Bars are always my go-to dessert for holiday gatherings! I've been making this recipe for YEARS and it's always such a hit. Not only are these pie bars perfectly sweet with the best flaky crust, but you'd never guess that they're also gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free! Made with ingredients you can feel good about, this cozy, nutty dessert is easy to share, and everyone will love it. All of the goodness of melt-in-your-mouth pecan pie, but in an easy pie bar form!

Ingredients

Crust

Filling

  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Line a 9x9" baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Add all of the crust ingredients to a medium mixing bowl and stir until its all well combined.
  • Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the lined baking pan.
  • Add the filling ingredients to the mixing bowl and whisk well.
  • Pour the filling into the baking dish.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes (or until it isn't jiggly).
  • Remove from the oven and let cool before cutting.
  • Remove the bars from the pan by lifting the parchment paper out and setting it on a flat surface.
  • Cut into 16 small bars, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Transfer the cut bars to an airtight container with parchment between the layers, or wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and place them in a heavy-duty freezer bag.
  • Store them at room temperature for 24-48 hours, in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or freeze them for up to 1 month.
  • Thaw the pecan bars in the fridge or on the counter before serving.
