Southern Sweet Tea Lemon Cake 2.5 cups all-purpose flour 2 tsp baking powder 4 large eggs 1 cup nonfat plain greek yogurt 1/2 cup butter melted 1/2 cup apple sauce 1 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla 2 tsp lemon extract 3/4 cup Milo's Famous Sweet Tea 1 tsp lemon zest pinch of salt The Glaze 2.5 cups powdered sugar 1/2 cup Milo's Famous Sweet Tea 1 Tbsp butter melted
Southern Sweet Tea Lemon Cake Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Mix the flour and baking powder together in a large mixing bowl, then set aside.
Beat the eggs, then mix with the yogurt, melted butter, apple sauce, sugar, vanilla, lemon extract, and sweet tea.
Add the lemon zest and salt, continue mixing.
Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
Pour the lemon cake batter into a bundt pan and bake for about 50-55 minutes (or until a toothpick comes out clean).
The Glaze While the cake is baking, use a hand mixer to mix the powdered sugar, sweet tea, and melted butter.
If desired, slowly add more sugar to thicken the glaze or add more sweet tea to thin out the glaze.
Once the cake has fully cooled, pour the glaze over the cake.
Serve and enjoy!
