Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Creamy, sweet, and SO easy to make. I've been making this Strawberry Banana Chia Seed Smoothie for years and it's still one of my top favorite healthy breakfasts and afternoon snack! With 8 grams of protein (and no protein powder) and healthy ingredients, I love this refreshing and well balanced smoothie. All you'll need is a blender, 5 ingredients, and 5 minutes!

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 large banana ripe
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 Tablespoons chia seeds

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients into a blender.
  • Blend until smooth, then divide into two glasses.
  • Add any toppings you want and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make a double batch and freeze extra smoothies in mason jars to meal prep them for the week ahead! Then just thaw the smoothie in the fridge a few hours before or warm in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time, stirring until you get the right consistency.
  • Turn this recipe into a smoothie bowl. Pour into a bowl and top with granola, fruit, and nut butter for a heartier meal!
  • If you want a drinkable smoothie, feel free to thin out the texture by adding a little bit more milk and juice as needed.
  • Feel free to add a scoop of vanilla protein powder for more protein!
