Ok, well, here’s what I’ve posted so far about this pregnancy (in case you missed it):
And now, FINALLY, a pregnancy update! At 30 weeks!
Wait, let’s talk about that for a sec. 30 weeks!! How are we already here? Seriously, I thought this day would never come. Our first pregnancy ended in miscarriage last year, so every single day of pregnancy since we found out about this one has been such a blessing. I remember thinking “it will be such a miracle to get to the third trimester!”. And now here we are!
So here’s the latest update:
1. Baby Showers
We’ve had such a fun time celebrating our little guy at our baby showers! One of them was here in Oklahoma, the other one was in Texas. Our baby is so loved by his friends and family!
2. Nursery
Current state of the nursery? Well, I can’t quite show you that. Let’s just say izzz a mess. But my hope is to get it done in the next couple of weeks (before I get too tired)! In the meantime, I’ll just show you some of my favorite nursery finds that are in our nursery and most likely still in boxes:
- Crib: My mom found a crib at a garage sale similar to this one from Target. We love it so far!
- Dresser: We LOVED the simplicity of this dresser from Target! So this one is already set up in his little room 😉
- Rug: Loving this rug from Rugs USA. It just brings everything together!
- Glider: Our glider is from Buy Buy Baby and is a light grey color. I wasn’t sure if I would like that with the cream rug, but I’m actually loving it!
3. Symptoms
Ohhhhhkkkk. Let’s talk pregnancy symptoms. For starters, I’m nauseas again, which was unexpected. Remember that first trimester nausea? That was no joke! Thankfully, this situation is very minor compared to that.
Third trimester exhaustion has hit me full force (and I hear there’s a lot more to come??) and Braxton Hicks contractions are becoming more intense and more frequent. Most of my friend’s didn’t have Braxton Hicks this early on, but I’ve read it’s quite common. Did any of you have them frequently at 30 weeks?
OH, and poor Cody. At least twice a week I wake us both up with the worst cramps (Charley Horses, anyone?) in my legs! Those are definitely painful haha. I mean, if one 10-30 second cramp in my calf is enough to make me deeply sore for several days? That’s just crazy.
Ok, now on to the fun symptoms 😉 Our little guy is moving SO much every day! Especially at night when I’m laying down to go to bed. If I’m sitting still and you look at my belly for about 5 minutes, there’s a good chance you’ll see what looks like our baby literally drumming on my stomach. What is he even doing in there?!
We just can’t wait to meet our little one! For more updates, be sure to follow along on Instagram 😉 And if you’re a momma, I’d love to hear about what your third trimester symptoms were like in the comments below!
And hopefully I’ll get around to posting at least one more update before he comes. Hopefully. Stay tuned, friends!

Where did you get the dress you wore to your shower? It is adorable! You looked lovely!
Christine McMichael replied:
Hi, Elise! Both of the the dresses were from target 😉 Thank you so much! Here are the (affiliate) links to each dress:

Hey mama! You look gorgeous! Ok so my chunk is 19 months now but those leg cramps are real and I absolutely remember them and the only thing that worked is https://www.amazon.com/Natural-Vitality-Supplement-Raspberry-Lemon/dp/B00BPUY3W0?th=1&psc=1 That’s not an affiliate link or anything it’s just something I loved while pregnant and it helped with sleep too! Any flavor works but I liked the raspberry lemonade. Julie from pbfingers had her baby a day or two ago and she used the same thing while pregnant for cramps and loved it too! You can check her blog for her favorites and pregnancy updates 🙂
I was nauseous from the minute I got pregnant until I delivered so I’m jealous you had a reprieve but it stinks it’s come back. I found that lots and lots of small meals and snacks (especially carbs) helped tremendously as well as sonic limeades.
You’re in the home stretch mama! Congratulations from a fellow Oklahoma mama and I hope you are able to fit in another update!
Christine McMichael replied:
Thanks for the tip, Tiffany! I’ll totally have to check that out. Eek that sounds terrible, I’m so sorry you had to go through that! That nausea is just the absolute worst. Thank you so much, friend! 🙂
