How Glow Body PT Changed My Life
My Story
Our little Atlas was a c-section delivery and almost 6 weeks early (read my birth story here). I spent the first 6 weeks postpartum taking it easy, recovering, and enjoying our new baby! I didn’t try to eat any certain way and simply enjoyed the new baby season.
Around 4 weeks postpartum, I decided to start walking a few times a week to slowly start gaining my strength once again. It was much harder than I had realized! This also majorly helped keep my mindset healthy during the postpartum period.
Why I chose Glow Body PT
Around 6 weeks postpartum, I received the OK from my doctor to start working out again! Although she did warn me that it would be tough and that I would need to really start slow.
There were (and still are) lots of options for getting back into shape! I chose Glow Body PT as my postnatal exercise plan because I had heard amazing things about it. I knew that the workouts were great for women with diastasis recti (ab separation), perfect for starting slow, and breastfeeding supportive. The workouts
The workouts started out really slow, but in a really challenging way. I was always excited to do my workout! Not to mention that Ashley’s positivity helped me so much through that very tough postpartum season both physically and mentally. To say that I needed these workouts is a big understatement!
By the end of the 12-week plan, the workouts had increased in difficulty in a great, challenging way! I actually repeated phase 3 with heavier weights because I loved it so much and wasn’t ready to be done with the program. It’s amazing, guys!
My results with Glow Body PT
Ultimately, my focus was to get stronger both physically and mentally as well as feel healthy once again. This plan helped me do that and so much more! I can honestly say that I’ve never felt stronger than I do right now.
From the time I had the baby to the end of the program, I had lost a total of 31 lbs. I lost 23 lbs during the time that I did the program (since I didn’t start it until 6 weeks postpartum) and am now back at my pre-pregnancy weight! My body isn’t the same, however. It’s even stronger and better than it was before!
Moving forward, I will most likely continue phase 3 of the program combined with heavier weights, more cardio, and other fitness routines. If you’re looking for a GREAT postnatal exercise plan, Glow Body PT is amazing!
