We initially took this trip to go to Everything Food Conference, an amazing conference for food bloggers and brands (I talked about it a little bit in yesterday’s Baked Mahi-Mahi Tacos post). I had such a wonderful time making friends and learning how to grow and improve by blog! The conference was 3 days of inspiration, tips, tricks, motivation, networking, and making new friends. To be honest, I loved every second of it and already cannot wait until next year!
After the conference, Cody and I began our two-ish days of exploring. There’s never enough time to get everything in, but we went to so many amazing places!
Our first adventure was to Park City, a ski village outside of Salt Lake City. It was actually pretty chilly (well, at least to this Texas girl), and there was still snow on the ground. We ate at Dolci, a delicious and splurge-ish (calorie-wise) Italian resturaunt, then proceeded to drive around looking at cute homes and relaxing nature scenes. It’s a beautiful place to visit!
The next day, we woke up and had coffee at Blue Copper Coffee in the heart of SLC and then went to flea market because “I needed stuff”. Since we were downtown, we walked over to Temple Square to do some sight seeing!
Guys, it was a million degrees in SLC that day! So not what I expected. I ran to target to buy this romper because I wasn’t going to make it. No joke! Especially since I knew that we were headed to the Salt Flats next. The Salt Flats were beautiful and so fun!
If we’re friends on my personal Insta, then you saw this photo of me struggling in “nature” below. 🙈 I MEAN, some of us just aren’t nature inclined people, ok? Don’t worry, I made it guys. I made it.
That night we ate at Chile Tepin and had the best gelato at Dolcetti Gelato!
Our last day in Salt Lake City was spent exploring a little bit more of downtown and eating at all of our fave new places. We had coffee at Three Pines Coffee, then walked around a bit. We made our way over to this vintage furniture store, pottery place, and then ate lunch at Zest. They have Kombucha galore and the most amazing vegan/vegetarian eats!
Other places we wish we could have visited but didn’t get the chance to:
Caffe D’Bolla
Mollie & Ollie
That’s all, friends! We had a great time and can’t wait to go back soon!
