Sticking To Your New Year's Resolutions

Sticking To Your New Year’s Resolutions

Happy new year, friends! Do you have goals and resolutions set up for this new year? Today, I’m sharing my best tips on sticking to your new year’s resolutions—not just for the first few months but for the entire year! This post has been sponsored by Del Monte®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

New year’s resolutions can range from healthy eating (finding healthy snacks like these Del Monte® Fruit & Oats™ – yum!), to fitness motivation (tons of workouts HERE), to focusing on mental health, to setting business goals (like starting a blog, anyone?). Whatever your new year’s resolutions are, it can be tough to stick to them past the first couple of months of the year! But what if we could all stick to them throughout the entire year?

Here are my favorite tips for sticking to your new year’s resolutions:

Set realistic goals.

Being realistic about what you can accomplish in the time frame is crucial!

For example, if I want to eat healthy, I know that I’m going to need quick and easy options to get me through the day, like Del Monte Fruit & Oats—perfect for a mid-morning snack! Del Monte Fruit & Oats combines delicious fruit with wholesome oats for a quick, ready-to-eat snack! Not to mention, it is the first ready-to-eat oatmeal with one full serving of real fruit*, it has 20g of whole grains per serving and can be eaten hot or cold. So yummy! It’s snack options like this that are perfect for helping me stay on track and stick to my goals!

P.S: Be sure to find Del Monte Fruit & Oats in the fruit snack aisle at your local grocery store, and use this coupon to save $0.75 on a one-pack of Del Monte Fruit & Oats Cups! Also, be sure to try out Del Monte® Fruit & Chia™ and Del Monte® Fruit Refreshers® as other quick and easy snack options!

Write it down.

Write your resolutions down some place where you will see them every day! Your calendar, planner, a dry erase board. Keep them right in front of you so that you will remember and focus on them!

Create action steps.

This is crucial! Don’t only write down your goals for the year. Make a plan so that they become a reality!

Accountability is key!

Telling a few friends or family are a great way to stay accountable to your goals! Join groups online (and in person), create a social media account for your progress, journal, find an accountability partner. Staying accountable is key for sticking to your new year’s resolutions!

Have grace for yourself!

Ultimately, we are all human. It’s important to have grace for yourself! Whether you complete your resolutions or accomplish them for a few months, remember that you are doing great by setting goals and focusing on improving yourself. You’re doing great, friend!
