We just came back from a week away visiting family for Thanksgiving, where we announced our pregnancy to friends and family. We have been keeping a big secret over here, and I’ve been so excited and eager to share the news with all of you!
I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant and thankfully starting to feel a little better. Per usual, that first trimester was ROUGH! I wish I was one of those people who doesn’t get sick in the first trimester, and I was really praying that this one would somehow be different. But….I was still very sick. Like, couldn’t function kinda sick. It’s honestly a miracle that I somehow kept this blog running through it all because basically, all food was horrifying during that season. If you know, you know!

But I made it through, and am now feeling so much better. To be honest, this pregnancy was very unexpected. We thought we were done having kids! We had many plans for next year that did not involve a little one, but all of that has changed now. God had other plans! And if I’m being really honest, it was a little hard for both of us (Cody and I) to wrap our minds around. It still feels crazy. Are we 3 kid people? I guess we are now! But I’m also incredibly grateful for the timing of everything. We just got settled into the new house, so I’m really glad that we were able to do that before another baby season!
ALSO: This will be my THIRD C-section. And I would be lying if I didn’t say I’m having some nervous feelings about that! Technically this will be my fourth pregnancy, but I’ve never made it to the 9th month of pregnancy because all of my littles have come early and ended in surgery.

There’s so much more that I could say about all of that, the mixed emotions, feelings of joy and stress at the exact same time. But at the end of the day, I’m beyond grateful for this pregnancy, and don’t take it lightly that we are blessed with the opportunity to welcome another little one into our family!
More updates to come soon, friends! 🙂 And if you’re a mom of multiple littles, I’d love any advice you have!

You are absolutely beautiful. I love your recipes because they are so healthy but also because you supply alternatives to ingredients.
Take care.
