Use the right products
The right products are EVERYTHING when it comes to winter skin care for little ones. We’re currently loving Johnson’s® Head-to-Toe Wash and Shampoo for great bath time skin care! When it comes to baby and toddler skin care, we love using a trusted brand like Johnson & Johnson and keeping the products on hand.

Give your little one an oatmeal bath
Oatmeal baths are a great way to prevent and treat winter skin issues! Simply blend 1 cup of oats into a fine powder, then add it to your baby or toddler’s warm bath water. Soak for 15-20 minutes and/or gently rub the oatmeal mixture into your little one’s skin!
Keep bath time short
If it’s a regular bath, be sure to keep the time short as long bath times can dry out skin. Additionally, make sure that the water is warm and not hot!
Moisturize after bath time and before going out
Making sure to moisturize is essential in order to protect skin! We love using the Aveeno® Baby Daily Moisturizer Lotion on our little one’s skin after bath time to lock in moisture and before going out to protect from harsh winter weather. It’s so perfect! Not to mention perfect for adults, too.
Keep your little one hydrated
If your little one is still breastfeeding or on formula, keep doing what you’re doing! If your little one is older, however, be sure to give them lots of water as well as fruits and vegetables with a high water content level in order to stay hydrated.
Use a humidifier
Use a humidifier at night in your nursery or bedroom to not only keep your little one’s skin moisturized, but to also prevent colds and sickness that often comes with the colder months. Prevention is everything!
