I’ll be honest. The word “detox” kind of bothers me. There’s something about it that immediately makes me think of a liquid-only diet and drinking lemon water. Not that there’s anything wrong with lemon water (it’s quite good, actually!), but there’s nothing appealing to me about an extreme crash diet that leaves you starving. So in thinking about what I would focus on this month, the word detox was probably last on my list.
However, I’ve been thinking about it a lot and as you probably already know, there’s so much more to detoxing your life and restoring your soul. After everything last year, and then a busy 5 months into 2021, it seems like spending a month focused on recovering is probably a really great idea. Nourishing, in so many ways!

What are your favorite ways to recover from a busy season and nourish yourself? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below! Here’s what’s happening in June:
Detox & Restore – Nourishing Foods
What does it look like to detox and restore? Well, of course, nourishing foods are one of the first things that come to mind. But sometimes, nourishing foods can be what’s nourishing for the soul! So more pizza during a month of detox? If that’s what’s right, then heck yes.
30-Day Yoga Challenge
It also means the right kind of exercise. I’ve been focused on HIIT style workouts lately and to be honest? I’m a little burnt out. This month I’m taking a 30-Day Yoga Challenge that I’m super excited about (this isn’t sponsored, just really pumped about it)! You guys are welcome to join me in the journey and if you do, be sure to let me know and tag me over on Instagram (also, we should be friends on there either way!).
So. Many. Salads.
Summertime is my FAVORITE for making fun and delicious NEXT LEVEL salads (goodbye boring salads, never again)! There are so many amazing fruits and vegetables available during this time of year. I love making the most of them!
You guys will see some of my favorite new salads on the site this month, but if you want to go ahead and get started, be sure to check out these 15+ Healthy Spring Salad Recipes.
Do you take collagen on the daily? I’ve recently started and have become obsessed! I love vital proteins collagen in my daily coffee, oatmeal, and even making protein bites with it. I can’t wait to share some fun and delicious collagen recipe with you guys this month!
Spending Time w/ Loved Ones
Anyone else just SO excited about how the world is opening back up again? Slowly, of course, and cautiously. But I’m so ready to spend time with loved ones again. This month, a personal goal is to spend more time playing with my little ones, taking them to the zoo, visiting family, and maybe even inviting friends over more. I’m hopeful for summer gatherings and the weather will be perfect this month!
What are your summer plans? Do you plan on getting together with loved ones more this month?
