Viral Cottage Cheese Breakfast Rounds
If you’re on Instagram or TikTok, you may have seen these protein breakfast rounds going around recently. And for good reason! They are soooooo good. I mixed up this recipe by turning these into a light, fluffy, savory pancake-meets-omelet situation (in the best way) that makes them SO perfect for all the toppings. But honestly? They’re even deliciously just plain without any toppings!
I can’t get over how easy these are for the best healthy breakfast. Just blend, pour, cook, flip. That’s it! 10 minutes, 3 ingredients, low calorie and high protein. Even my kids love these, especially when they get to pick out their own toppings!

Ingredients
Cottage Cheese – The star of the show! Blends up smooth and adds a creamy, slightly tangy flavor. I recommend full-fat for the best texture, but low-fat works too.
Eggs – Helps everything bind together and adds extra protein.
Everything Seasoning – I’ve seen this recipe with just salt added in, but my version with everything seasoning is TRULY next-level. Honestly, this is the only way I’ll ever make them, it’s worth it (but you can use just salt if you want).
You’ll also either need some cooking oil or cooking oil spray (I like to use avocado oil)!

How to Make 3-Ingredient Cottage Cheese Breakfast Rounds
This is one of the easiest quick healthy breakfast recipes! All you’ll need is a small blender and a non-stick pan to get started. Here’s how to make the viral Cottage Cheese Breakfast Rounds:
- Blend It Up – Add the cottage cheese, eggs, and seasoning to a small blender. Blend until completely smooth and pourable.
- Heat Your Pan – Preheat a non-stick skillet with oil or spray over medium heat.
- Cook the Rounds – Pour about ¼ cup of the batter per round into the hot pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the edges set.
- Flip Carefully – Gently flip and cook another 1-2 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Top and Serve – Add your favorite toppings or enjoy as-is!
Tip: The batter will spread out a bit like a thin pancake. Don’t worry if they look a little lacy around the edges. That’s part of the charm!
Topping Ideas
- Mashed avocado + sliced cherry tomatoes
- Goat cheese + berries + a drizzle of hot honey
- Avocado + pickled red onions
- Scrambled eggs + arugula + sriracha
- Cream cheese + everything seasoning + cucumbers

Tips & Variations
- Use a non-stick pan and don’t skimp on oil or spray. This helps them flip cleanly!
- Blend until completely smooth so the texture is pancake-like (no cottage cheese lumps).
- Don’t rush the flip. Be sure to wait until the bottom is set before turning.
Make-Ahead Tip: Double or triple the batch and store them in the fridge for a ready-to-go breakfast all week long!
Variations to Try:
- Sweet Breakfast Rounds – Skip the seasoning and add a pinch of cinnamon and vanilla. Top with almond butter and banana, it’s SO good!
- Spicy Kick – Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or use a jalapeño-seasoned cottage cheese.
- Dairy-Free Version – Try using a dairy-free cottage cheese alternative and see what works best for your preferences.
How to Store
Refrigerator – Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Freezer – Let them cool completely, then freeze between parchment in a zip-top bag for up to 2 months.
Reheat – Warm in the microwave for 15-20 seconds or in a skillet over low heat, just until heated through.

Corinne Grimes says:
How did anyone get these to flip? Mine were a disaster. Tips?
JOL Team replied:
So glad you made these! My tips are to be sure to cook them for the 1-2 minutes and making sure the edges are set before trying to flip them. It makes a big difference. Also, using a non-stick pan and spraying the pan with oil.
