My baby started out on single baby food purees (such as squash, carrots, and green beans) and seemed to love everything. “He’s a total foodie – yay!” is what I thought. And then one day, overnight, he just randomly decided that he no longer liked anything green. Every time I decided to feed it to him, his face filled with total disgust and he spit it back out. Greeeeeattttt.
Soon, that disgust progressed to other vegetables and even some fruit. That’s when I decided to start blending foods together (like this Zucchini & Apple Baby Food Recipe) and working on expanding his little taste buds!
Today, I’m sharing this Carrot Butternut Squash Baby Food Recipe with you guys! This is one of our go-to’s for meal times and I love that it can be prepped in bulk. You and your baby will love how easy this recipe is to make!

Once you have steamed the carrots and butternut squash, place them in a blender or blend them in a baby food maker and puree to desired consistency. Add desired amount of water and continue to blend or add in breastmilk/water when you are ready to serve!

Once the baby food is pureed, feel free to store in baby food jars or an ice cube tray in the freezer! Simply take out the amount you want in the morning (or the night before) and thaw in the refrigerator.
