Life Lately + January Goals
In case you missed it, life has definitely changed for us in the recent months….we found out that we’re pregnant with our THIRD! You can read all about it here 🙂 It’s been crazy, but after months of sickness, I’m thankfully feeling a lot better. 20 weeks this week and due in late April/mid May!
This January, I’m in full-mode baby prep mode because it’ll be a lot harder to prep things in the third trimester. The boys currently have a bedroom that they share and a playroom, but I’m actually moving them into the playroom so the baby can have their room. They are also getting a bunk bed soon, so I know they’ll be excited about that! Even though the top bunk will be off limits for awhile, haha.
I’m also prepping and trying to work ahead over the next few months so that I can take a real maternity leave when the baby comes! Of course it’s tough to know exactly when that will be. Even though this is a scheduled c-section, both of my little ones came about 5-6 weeks early. So just want to be completely ready come April!
My biggest struggle right now is how many ideas and exciting things I want to do here on Jar Of Lemons that I know you guys would love, but not having the time for it because I’m getting ready for baby. That work/family life balance is always so tough! But I know the most important thing is to prioritize this little one and my family through this season, so that’s what I’ll be focusing on.
Anyway, that’s it for now! What are your goals and things that you’re looking forward to this month? I’d love to hear about them in the comments below. Happy January and Happy New Year, friends! I hope it’s your best one yet! 🙂
