If I’m being totally honest, winter is fun until Christmas and then….well, then I’m pretty much immediately ready for spring. I am just not a cold weather person. But I will say, I love January for a couple of things: It’s a new start to a new year, and it’s also my birthday month!
From setting new goals, to focusing on nourishing foods, to working out and simply taking a breath for a season, it’s truly one of the best months to set time aside for a refresh. And the best part is that this looks totally different for everyone!
2021 was such a busy year for us. To be totally transparent, I found myself stressed out and overwhelmed more often than not. With having two littles running around, building a house, running this business, and soooo much more, it was just a really crazy year. This year, my hope and goal is simple: to have a fun year.
It may sound silly, but having fun is just something that’s never been a top priority for me. I’m a get things done kinda gal. I like to be productive, I enjoy being busy, and it’s hard for me to stop and enjoy the moment. But as our kids are hitting an older, more “fun” stage, I want to make sure that I’m present and making the best memories with my family.
While that’s my personal goal and word for the year, I also want to incorporate that into the recipes and content here on Jar Of Lemons. From healthy recipes that are anything but boring, to fun ideas for everyday life, it’s my goal for all of us to really come alive this year!
