Where has this year gone?? It’s seriously flying by. Every year around this time I start getting excited about the approach of fall, but I have to constantly remind myself that summer is far from over (especially here in the south). 5. House Update – We’re Moved In!
It FINALLY happened, guys!! After 1.5 years of building and all sorts of hiccups, we are all moved into our new home. I can’t wait to share photos with you all and do a house tour!
Currently, things are a bit of a mess. Not only from moving in, but we’re actually having several things finished up since we had to close in a bit of a rush. I haven’t had a chance to update everyone on our house stuff over on Insta, but it’s been just a little crazy!
Day one of living here, we had a big leak and had water coming through our ceiling from upstairs and into the guest bedroom. Long story short, we are having our main drain line replaced and so bummed to have to tear up brand new concrete and sod. But our builder will be replacing it all soon, so hopefully we can get that knocked out next week. Then, our porcelain backsplash was installed with a few issues (cracking and seams that didn’t line up), so that will get replaced next week. We are still waiting for our permanent range to arrive, and drywall needs to come and patch up the guest room ceiling from the leak.

All that to say, we love our new home but are still DEFINITELY getting settled! I’m also starting to look at furniture for the house, so that’s fun and exciting. More updates to come, hopefully soon! We’ve had a lot of you guys + friends/fam ask us for photos. Hoping to do a big photoshoot once we get all of these projects done and have at least some of our new furniture!
