Mini Protein Brownies Recipe
If you’re a brownie lover, like me, then you will absolutely become obsessed with these yummy protein brownies. My kids love when I make these and they have no idea that they’re secretly healthy!
Each mini protein bite has about 30 calories and 2 grams of protein. The entire batch comes together in one bowl with just a few ingredients, and it’s so easy to bake these in a mini muffin tin. They have that classic fudge brownie texture, so they’re the perfect little dessert whenever you’re craving a chocolatey sweet treat!

Protein Brownie Recipe Tips
- I used vanilla granola butter because is almost has a blondie brownie flavor and texture that really takes these bites up a notch.
- You can also use brownie batter granola butter – SO good.

- Another option is to bake these in an 8×8″ baking pan (lined with parchment paper) and cut into squares!

High Protein Brownies FAQs
You can, but it’s not always as simple as tossing in a scoop of protein powder. Adding protein can change the texture, making the brownies more dense or dry if you don’t adjust the liquid ingredients. If you’re using a boxed mix, try reducing the flour just a bit and adding a splash more milk or almond butter to keep things moist and chewy!
It really depends on the texture you’re going for! I personally love using a plant-based chocolate protein powder in these brownie bites—it blends so well and gives that rich, fudgy flavor. Whey protein also works!
Dry protein brownies usually mean there’s too much protein powder or not enough moisture. Protein powder absorbs a lot of liquid, so it’s important to include hydrating ingredients like banana, nut butter, or even a splash of milk. Overbaking can also be the culprit—these brownie bites are best when just set in the center and slightly fudgy!
