How To Feel Your Best – Wellness Tips
1. Eat a balanced breakfast
A balanced breakfast is essential for starting the day off on a great note! Whether it’s as simple as fruit with nut butter and whole grain toast or yogurt with granola and berries, nourishing your body in the morning is important. Keep everyday breakfasts simple and nutritious with these easy, healthy breakfast ideas:
- Light + Fit Collagen & Antioxidants Nonfat Yogurt Cherry Black Currant with berries and granola
- Bowl of whole grain cereal with fruit and milk
- Whole wheat toast with peanut butter, eggs, and fruit
We’re loving Light + Fit Collagen & Antioxidants Nonfat Yogurt (especially the tangerine grapefruit and cherry black currant flavors – SO yummy!) as an easy, quick breakfast addition that contains antioxidants, collagen, and so many good things. This new yogurt option contains 15g of total protein (2g of which are collagen protein per 5.3 oz) and antioxidants (Vitamins A & E)*!
*The antioxidant values per 5.3 oz serving are formulated with 20% DV Vitamin A and Vitamin E.
A healthy fitness routine that’s right for your body is essential for overall wellness! How do you know if it’s right for you? Try it for a season, and then listen to your body. There’s a difference between being sore from a good workout and being in pain, so be careful not to push yourself too hard but still find a challenging workout that you love!
Every workout is different and produces different results. Whether it’s taking a short walk everyday, doing yoga, or doing strength training, exercising should make you feel good in the long run.
3. Get plenty of rest
This one may seem obvious. If you get plenty of rest, you’ll feel better! However, our busy lifestyles often prevent us from actually getting the rest that we need. Not to mention that rest is more than just physical – it can be mental and emotional, too.
Start by implementing a good, relaxing bedtime routine at the same time every night to wind down and settle your body and mind. Put on relaxing music, stretch before bed, drink some soothing tea, and focus on what you’re grateful for. This is a great way to de-stress and prepare your body for rest every night!
4. Don’t forget about snacks
Finding balance in snacking is important. It can be easy to view snacking as a “treat” or skip it all together, but it can also be an excellent way to nourish your body!
Some of my favorite snacks provide a balanced amount of protein, fat, and carbs. We love finding easy options that are great for taking on-the-go or putting together quickly! Here are a few balanced snack ideas:
- Light + Fit Collagen & Antioxidants Nonfat Yogurt Tangerine Grapefruit flavor paired with walnuts and granola
- Protein bar with dried fruit and granola
- Cottage cheese with carrots and whole wheat crackers
- Celery with nut butter and whole wheat crackers
We’re loving how easy it is to grab a cup of Light + Fit Collagen & Antioxidants Nonfat Yogurt and pair it with other nutritious options for a balanced snack! With 6g of total sugar and 0g** added sugar per serving, it’s a snack you can feel good about choosing. Not to mention SO yummy!
**Not a low calorie food.
5. Stay hydrated
Staying hydrated is another way to stay well and feel your absolute best throughout the day! It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and forget to drink enough water. Here are a few tips for staying hydrated:
- Use a time marker water bottle to achieve your hydration goals.
- Keep track of your water intake through an app.
- Eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables with a high amount of water content, such as watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, and celery.
- If you can’t seem to get enough water, opt for eating more soups with meals (but don’t forget to make sure they’re low in sodium)!
Don’t like drinking water? Try using an infuser water bottle to add a little flavor! Another option is to make your own juices out of fruit and vegetables.
