Monster Cookie Protein Frosty Recipe
OMG. This recipe is SO good, ya’ll! I have always loved the combination of flavors, textures, and playful look of monster cookies. So when I was dreaming of new healthy, protein-packed treats the whole family would love, this was a no-brainer! It’s incredibly easy to make, and I’m so obsessed with the peanut buttery chocolate M&M goodness. Just pop the frozen yogurt into the blender with the other ingredients and blend it up into a texture that’s thicker than a milkshake but thinner than ice cream, just like the Wendy’s frosty that is so good.
With 26 grams of protein and healthy ingredients, this is a treat that’s nice to have on hand when cravings hit. Double the recipe and store them in jars in your freezer for your whole family to enjoy whenever they want!
Ingredients in Monster Cookie Frosties
There are only 6 ingredients in these high-protein frozen treats. Here’s what you’ll need to make them:
- Coconut Yogurt – I love the texture and flavor of coconut yogurt, but any yogurt will do! Try Greek yogurt, soy yogurt, or cashew yogurt instead.
- Oat Milk – Any milk will do, but the oat milk gives the subtle oat flavor which is essential to get that monster cookie dough flavor.
- Peanut Butter – You can easily lower the calories by substituting the natural peanut butter with 2 Tablespoons of prepared powdered peanut butter. It’ll give a nice peanut butter flavor. You could also use almond butter as a sub.
- Vanilla Protein Powder – The vanilla protein powder adds to the cookie-like flavor in the Frosty recipe. You can use a chocolate flavor, or a peanut butter flavor as well.
- Chocolate Candies – I love the ingredients and flavor of these chocolate candies (especially since they have natural dyes), but feel free to use M&M’s or vegan candies instead.
- Mini Chocolate Chips – Semi-sweet chocolate chips are the perfect balance of sweetness in the Frosty, but you can use white chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips, too. Use dairy-free chocolate for a vegan treat.
