October Bucket List

The weather’s nice and fall is here. Make the most out of the season with an October Bucket List that the entire family will enjoy!

Family with baby at a pumpkin patch.

October is one of my favorite months. This is the month that the weather FINALLY changes down here in the south and things really start shifting towards fall! It’s also the perfect month for getting outside and enjoying the season before it gets too cold.

This month, we (my family and I) are focusing on how we can slow down on work, place less emphasis on productivity, and spend more time with our family and friends. October tends to be a month that goes by way too quickly and I always feel like I didn’t squeeze every ounce of Octoberness out of it! Which is why I’ve put together this fun October Bucket List. I hope that you and your family enjoy checking off each item on the list and that you have the most October-ish October ever!

The Ultimate October Bucket List

October Bucket List: Ways to spend more time with family and friends!

1. Go to a pumpkin patch

If you haven’t done this already, this is an October MUST. Gather up the kiddos and head out to your favorite pumpkin patch for some fall family fun!

2. Take family photos

While you’re at the pumpkin patch, bring your camera along for a few family photos!

3. Have a fall dinner with friends

This is the thing we always say we’re going to do and never actually get around to. Anyone else? This year, let’s make it happen! Invite a few friends over and have a fall-inspired dinner! Here are a few recipe ideas:

  • Roasted Brussels Sprouts With Goat Cheese
  • Fall-Inspired Cheese Board
  • Roasted Pumpkin Salad

4. Head out to a corn maze

A corn maze can be such a fun activity for the entire family. It’s also great for date night or a group of friends. Grab some hot chocolate or apple cider, put on a warm, fall sweater, and get lost in a corn maze!

5. Incorporate fall flavors into everything

One of the best ways to experience fall is through the flavors that come with it! Try out some fall-themed recipes for dinner this month:

  • The BEST Sweet Potato Soup Recipe
  • Vegan Loaded Mashed Potato Bowls

6. Decorate your home for fall

Make the time to decorate your home for fall this year! Simply adding pumpkins and mums to your front porch or faux fall foliage to your fireplace can make your home feel festive.

7. Make a fun fall craft

From decorative fall wreaths to fun craft kits for kids, there’s an option for everyone!

8. Go out for evening walks

Enjoy the nice weather and head out for evening walks as much as possible!

9. Watch your favorite fall or Halloween movies

Have a favorite fall movie? It’s time to make some apple cider, popcorn, snuggle up in a blanket, and put on your favorite show. Take it up a notch with a backyard friends and family movie night!

10. DIY family costumes

Looking for a fun family costume? Try making your own! These can be as simple or as involved as you want them to be. Looking for really easy ideas? Here are ways to use eyeliner as a costume!

Legit have done ZERO on your bucket list and now I am kinda sad about it! I at least wanted to take my almost 10 month old to a pumpkin patch, but daddy won’t be home until Halloween so we might not get a chance!
