Why You’ll Love This Easy Snack
- 15 Minutes Total – Only 5 minutes to prep and 10 to freeze. That’s it!
- Vegan + Gluten-Free – Naturally free from dairy and gluten.
- Healthy Treat – Made with fruit, peanut butter, and dark chocolate for a better dessert option or fun snack.
- Perfect Texture – Creamy frozen bananas, crunchy peanuts, gooey peanut butter, and crisp chocolate in every bite!
- Make Ahead + Freeze – Make a big batch and store them in the freezer for whenever you’re craving a Snickers!

Ingredients
- Large Ripe Banana – Ripe but still firm works best! Too soft and they’ll fall apart under the toppings.
- Creamy Peanut Butter – Or almond butter!
- Dates – Finely diced. This is optional, but I love how dates add that delicious caramel flavor in a healthy way! You can always use date caramel instead.
- Chopped Peanuts – Roasted and salted peanuts give the best crunch and contrast to the sweet banana. Sliced almonds are a wonderful alternative!
- Chocolate Chips
- Coconut Oil
- Flaky Salt – There’s nothing like a sprinkle of flaky salt over the dark chocolate. SO good!

How to Make Frozen Banana Snickers
It doesn’t get any easier than this healthy make-ahead treat! All you’ll need is 15 minutes, a baking sheet, and your freezer. Here’s how to make the BEST frozen banana snickers:
- Prep the Bananas – Slice one banana in half, then lengthwise to create 4 pieces. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Add the Peanut Butter – Spread a layer of creamy peanut butter over each banana slice.
- Top It Off – Sprinkle on chopped dates and peanuts for that classic Snickers crunch.
- Melt the Chocolate – In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil together (about 30-45 seconds, stirring every 15).
- Drizzle + Freeze – Drizzle the melted chocolate over the banana slices, sprinkle with flaky salt, and pop them in the freezer for 10 minutes.

Tips
- Use bananas that are ripe but not mushy—they should still be firm enough to hold their shape.
- Line your baking sheet with parchment for easy removal (trust me, it makes cleanup a breeze).
- Don’t skip the flaky salt! It seriously takes the flavor to the next level.
- Let them thaw in the fridge for 15–20 minutes before enjoying if they’ve been in the freezer for a while.

Variations for Frozen Bananas
Almond Joy Frozen Bananas – Swap the peanut butter for almond butter, add sliced almond and shredded coconut for a slightly different flavor.
Frozen Banana Pops – You could take it to another level by cutting the bananas into halves (instead of quarters), add a popsicle stick, and dip the entire thing in chocolate. Add the same toppings and let them set in the freezer!
Banana Snickers Bites – Slice the banana into coins instead of long slices for bite-sized treats. Or try these Healthy S’mores Banana Bites for a fun variation!
Protein Boosted – Mix a little protein powder into the peanut butter before spreading for an extra boost!
How to Store
These frozen bananas are best stored in the freezer (or eaten fresh)! Here’s how to store them:
Freezer – Keep them in a freezer-safe airtight container for up to 2-3 weeks!
To Serve – Let them thaw in the fridge for 15–20 minutes before enjoying. The perfect cold treat!

Notes
- Ripe, but not too ripe, bananas are best for this recipe. You don’t want them too soft, otherwise they won’t be able to hold the toppings very well!
- I like to store these in the freezer and thaw them in the fridge for about 20 minutes before enjoying.Â
- Adjust the toppings to taste – you really can’t go wrong with this recipe!
