Why Add Turmeric to Smoothies?
Turmeric is rich in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties. It’s also been linked to boosting brain function and lowering health risks. Adding it to smoothies is a super easy way to incorporate more turmeric into your diet! You could also try adding it to soup and stews, especially since it has such a unique and warm flavor.
This Golden Glow Pineapple Turmeric Smoothie has just the right amount of turmeric in it. It’s also loaded with vitamin C! It’s great for knocking out a cold, keeping your immune system well, or just resetting after a weekend of sweets and treats. This delicious smoothie is one of my current healthy favorites!

Ingredients for Pineapple Turmeric Smoothie Recipe
You’ll only need 5 simple ingredients to make this healthy smoothie recipe. The agave syrup at the end is optional and can be adjusted to taste!
Banana – Fresh banana is best, but frozen works also. This will result in a thicker smoothie!
Coconut Milk – Any type of coconut milk works great. You can also use another type of plant-based milk, like almond milk or soy milk!
Ground Turmeric – A little bit goes a long way. If you don’t like the taste of turmeric, you may start with half of the amount and then add more to taste, blending along the way!
Grated Fresh Ginger – Using freshly grated ginger is a must! It’s so good and adds more nutrition than ground ginger. Use a spoon to peel the ginger!
You can also save time by roughly chopping the ginger instead of grating it and letting the blender do the work (recommended only if you have a great high-speed blender).
Frozen Pineapple – The frozen pineapple chunks bring this smoothie recipe together in such a flavorful way! Frozen mango is a tasty option as well.
Agave Syrup – Optional, to taste. Depending on the time of year, your pineapple may be more or less sweet, where a touch of sweetness from agave syrup may come in handy. Maple syrup, date syrup, or honey works great, too!

I need to do more turmeric food too. Since getting older my system needs more of a boost than my normal vitamins can handle. This smoothie looks like a great way to start the morning.
