You Will Love This Snickers Ninja Creami Protein Ice
I cannot get over how creamy this protein ice cream recipe comes out! The vanilla peanut butter base is so delicious on its own, but then mix in dark chocolate chips, chopped peanuts, and chopped dates for that signature Snickers caramel flavor, and this recipe is absolutely heavenly.
The best part is that it’s easy to make, made with healthy, higher protein ingredients, and can easily be made dairy-free! I make this ice cream in my Ninja Creami, which makes it SUPER creamy and gives it the best ice cream texture. Every bite of this Snickers Protein Ice Cream recipe is so good and it’s one of my favorite Ninja Creami recipes!

Snickers Creami Protein Ice Cream Ingredients
This recipe is already higher in protein than classic ice cream, but there are many ways to adjust the macros and increase the grams of protein to make this recipe fit your needs. Here are a few notes about the ingredients and substitutions that you can make!
Protein Ice Cream Base
- Milk – Regular 2%, soy milk, oat milk, or Ripple milk are all great options.
- Creamy Peanut Butter – If you’re looking to lower the overall calories/fat and up the protein, feel free to use PB2 powder instead! Just be sure to mix it with water so that it creates the same amount as peanut butter.
- Maple Syrup – Date syrup works great for a lower-sugar option!
- Vanilla Extract
- Vanilla Protein Powder – About 1 scoop, but feel free to add more. Caramel protein powder and chocolate protein powder can add tons of flavor, too!
Snickers Mix-Ins
- Chopped Peanuts – This recipe has a lot of peanut butter flavor, so you can always skip this mix-in and/or add more peanut butter as a topping instead!
- Chocolate Chips – Personally, I love dark chocolate chips as a mix-in. Mini chocolate chips are a great idea, too!
- Chopped Dates – The chopped dates are a healthier way to get that caramel flavor in the ice cream. They’re so good! I recommend chopping them as small as possible to evenly distribute the flavor.

Ninja Protein Ice Cream FAQs
After testing many ways to make healthy ice cream, I can honestly say that the Ninja Creami is 1000% worth it! While healthy ice cream can often be made in a blender, it’s tough to get it to that true creamy ice cream texture. The Ninja Creami makes it happen in such an easy way! I’ve even mashed bananas, then turned it into ice cream with this machine, and it came out so incredibly creamy. Highly recommend!
Nope! While the manufacturer suggests 24 hours for optimal freezing, this recipe only needs 6 hours if your freezer is set to the correct temperature (0°F). For best results, freeze overnight if you can, but don’t stress if you’re short on time.
If your ice cream is crumbly, it’s likely due to an imbalance in the ingredients or not freezing it long enough. Make sure your base has enough fat or liquid (like milk or nut butter) to create a creamy texture. If the result is still crumbly, use the “re-spin” function—it usually works like magic to fix the texture!
A greasy texture typically happens if there’s too much fat, like an excess of peanut butter or heavy cream. Try scaling back on high-fat ingredients, using powdered peanut butter (PB2), or opting for milk with lower fat content to balance it out.
