7-Ingredient Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Bites
Over the years, I’ve seen all kinds of yogurt bites and yogurt cluster recipes floating around online, especially on Instagram. But once I tried these chocolate strawberry yogurt bites, I completely understood the hype!
Made with creamy Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries, and melty chocolate chips, they taste like a frozen chocolate-covered strawberry in bite-size form. My kids request them pretty much every week, and I’m always happy to whip up a batch. They’re seriously SO good and so easy to make. I’m obsessed to say the least!
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- 7 Simple Ingredients – I almost always have all the ingredients for these strawberry yogurt bites on hand, and I’m willing to bet that you do, too! If not, they’re all super easy to find at any local grocery store.
- Simple to Prepare – Just combine the ingredients, portion, and freeze. Recipes don’t get easier than that!
- Protein-Forward Treat – Sweet and chocolatey, each bite tastes decadent but with 7 grams of protein.
- Great to Prep Ahead – These bites store super well in the freezer, staying fresh for weeks. So, I often like to prep a large batch to keep on hand. They’re the perfect solution for my afternoon sweet tooth!

Ingredients
- Fresh Strawberries – If you don’t have fresh strawberries, you can use frozen instead. Just let them thaw, and drain them first.
- Vanilla Greek Yogurt – Be sure to use a thick Greek yogurt, such as Fage, Siggi’s, or Greek Gods yogurts! If the yogurt is too runny, then it’ll be tough to create the right shape. Don’t stress if your yogurt is a little runny. It will still be yummy, and you can always turn it into a “bark” instead!
- Maple Syrup – A natural sweetener, this balances the yogurt and enhances the flavor of the berries. Substitute agave or honey, if preferred.
- Vanilla Extract
- Chocolate Chips – I love dark chocolate chips, but semi-sweet, milk chocolate, or even white chocolate works.
- Coconut Oil – This helps thin the chocolate, creating a drizzly consistency that makes it easy to dip.
- Flaky Salt – This is technically optional, but I have this thing where I put flaky salt on everything and I kind of think you maybe should too. Just saying.

How to Make These Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Bites
All you need for this recipe is a large bowl, a microwave-safe bowl, parchment paper, and a baking sheet. Here’s how to make no-bake Chocolate Covered Strawberry Yogurt Bites:
- Create the base – Mix chopped strawberries, maple syrup, and vanilla with yogurt.
- Portion – Dollop the yogurt mixture into mounds on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, and freeze until solid.
- Melt the chocolate – Combine chocolate chips and coconut oil in a bowl, and melt the ingredients in the microwave, stirring frequently. This prevents the chocolate from seizing or burning!
- Coat the yogurt – Working one at a time, use a fork to dip each yogurt cluster in the melted chocolate, and sprinkle sea salt on top. Repeat, coating all the yogurt bites.
- Freeze – Place the bites back on the baking sheet, and freeze again until solid. Serve frozen, or thaw slightly, and enjoy!

Tips
- Chop the strawberries finely. Smaller pieces mix in more evenly and help prevent excess moisture in the yogurt base. Plus, it helps ensure you get a little bit of fruit in every bite!
- Freeze until very firm before dipping. Make sure the yogurt bites are fully frozen before dipping them in chocolate so they don’t melt while coating.
- Work quickly when coating. The frozen yogurt will cause the chocolate to set fast. So, dip one bite at a time, and return them to the freezer right away.
- Drizzle instead of dipping, if preferred. If coating the entire bite feels like too much, simply drizzle the melted chocolate over the tops for an easier finish.
- Add flaky salt immediately. Sprinkle on the salt right after dipping, before the chocolate sets, for the best texture and flavor contrast.

Variations
Yogurt Bark Style – If your yogurt mixture is on the thinner side, spread it into an even layer on the pan instead of dolloping. Then, break into pieces after freezing.
Swap the Fruit – Use fresh blueberries, raspberries, or sliced bananas in place of or in addition to the strawberries for a slightly different taste.
Use Flavored Yogurt – Replace the vanilla yogurt with strawberry yogurt, honey-flavored yogurt, or coconut yogurt for a fun twist.
Add Mix-Ins – Fold chopped nuts, coconut flakes, or even sprinkles into the yogurt mixture for extra texture and flavor.
How to Store
Store your strawberry yogurt bites in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months. For the best results, place parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking!
Enjoy them straight from the freezer, letting them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before eating to slightly soften the center. They’re a little messy, but SO worth it!

Notes
- Be sure to use a thick Greek yogurt; if the yogurt is too runny, then it’ll be tough to create the right shape. Still yummy though, and you can always turn it into a “bark” instead!
- If coating the entire yogurt bite feels like too much, feel free to just drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of each one instead.
- This recipe makes 6 large yogurt bites, but you can make 8-12 smaller ones if you’d prefer!
