Around 34 weeks pregnant, I had this crazy idea to spend a Sunday afternoon making tons of freezer meals to store in the deep freeze for after our baby arrived. I knew that our friends and family would help us out with meals for a few weeks, but I wanted to be prepared to start eating healthy again after those early weeks! I’m so glad that I did, because our baby arrived a week later (unexpectedly). We lived off of these delicious freezer meals for a long time and they made life so much easier in those first few months!

How to prep and store these Healthy Freezer Meals:
You’ll need great freezer containers (like these Rubbermaid BRILLIANCE Food Storage Containers!). I love that the containers I use are also microwave safe and 100% leak proof. Not to mention that they stack wonderfully in the freezer! You can grab them HERE!
Make the individual meals or make them all at once (instructions are in this free ebook). Once each recipe is complete, place it in the freezer container, remove the lid, and let cool in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Next, place the lid on each container and store in the freezer! When ready to serve, remove the lid and microwave.
Each meal has 6 servings. However, we split the meals into servings of 3 in each container since Cody and I were the only ones eating! This made for so many meals!
I hope you guys enjoy these meals, and as always, be sure to let me know what you think in the comments below!

Thanks for this! I am beginning to prep for baby, and while i LOVE that people bring us meals…. sometimes they aren’t the healthiest. I am looking to have healthy meals to supplement the not-so-healthy ones. This looks awesome!

Hi there!
I’m hoping to make some of your meals for my expecting sister. I want to make it as easy for her to heat and eat as possible! Once taken out of the freezer, is microwaving them the best method of reheating versus using the oven? And if so, how long should these dishes be microwaved?
Christine McMichael replied:
Yes, microwaving them is the best method! The oven could dry them out and they are easier to microwave in the containers. The length of time depends on the recipe, but I generally start with about 4-5 minutes, then check, stir, and heat up longer if necessary. I hope your sister enjoys the meals! 🙂

Thank you for this ebook! I like how it’s laid out, with a grocery list for everything.. the only thing I would say is it’s really hard to read recipes #3 &6 due to the background colour.
I can’t wait to stock my freezer!
Christine McMichael replied:
So glad you’re enjoying it! Ok good to know, thank you so much for the feedback. I will work on updating that! Enjoy the recipes!
