Watch how to make these Healthy Apple Pie Minis!
Pie minis are my fave because 1.) They’re mini! Need I say more?? 2.) Let’s be honest, I can’t cut a pretty slice of regular sized apple pie without it looking like a giant mess of gooey disaster, then try to make it look photogenic, and then attempt to convince you that it’s as delicious as it SHOULD look. However, if you did happen to make these Healthy Apple Pie Minis into one big pie, I’m pretty sure that you would be convinced 😉 Oh and 3.) I still don’t have a regular pie pan (🙈). I know, I KNOW. After all this time as a food blogger I don’t own a pie pan. How is this possible?
It’s one of those annoying little purchases where I’m always thinking “Wow, why don’t I have a pie pan, I really need a pie pan! I just need to go get one already”. And then I go to the store, get swept away in all of the other things I “need”, get to the pie pan and think….”meh, I’ll get it next time”.
So here I am, still pie pan-less. And Thanksgiving is coming soon, which will mean all the healthy pie recipes (OBVS). And I have so many pies to make! What am I doing??? OHMYGOSHINEEDAPIEPAN.
Ok, friends. I’m going to get one. I am. Mark my words.
These Healthy Apple Pie Minis are perfect for fall!

Sara says:
Hello,
Thank you for this graet recipe! I have not done it but I have been looking for a sugar-free apple pie recipe for a while, so thanks!
I just have one question, could we replace agave with maple? I only have maple handy, so if it could work as a great substitute I’ll go with it. If not, I’ll wait and purchase an agave syrup. Let me know <3
Thanks,
Sara
Christine McMichael replied:
Hi, Sara! I haven’t tried that yet, but I think that it could possibly work. You’ll have to let me know if you try it out! Enjoy!
Richard Oropeza says:
Christine, can you use Puppin apples for the filling and would it come out the same? I’m a big Pippin apple fan which are very hard to find in most grocery markets!
Richard Oropeza replied:
Sorry Pippin
Christine McMichael replied:
I’ve actually never even had a Pippin apple! They look delicious. I would imagine that those should work just fine, but I haven’t actually tried it. You’ll have to let me know if you try those in this recipe, Richard!
Katherine D'Costa says:
These are the perfect size. I think smaller desserts are really the way to go. And I like that you kept the skin on the apples. And healthy bit counts.
Christine McMichael replied:
Thanks, Katherine! I hope you enjoy the recipe! 🙂

These look divine! My husband and boys are huge apple pie lovers. I wonder if you could freeze these, so that they could just pull one out and warm it up as they desire.

Thanks, Carmen!

What a great idea!! The mini pies look so cute. I like the idea of individual desserts and treats and using the fruit of the season is perfect. I certainly would love to enjoy one with my coffee this afternoon. I’m pinning.
