October is the month that fall FINALLY arrives for us here in Oklahoma. Up to this point, it’s still basically summer. So to say that I’m excited for October to be here is an understatement! Let all the fall things begin 🙂
For me, that’s everything from visiting pumpkin patches with the kids, friends gatherings in our backyards, to fall baking and fun and creative fall recipes. Anyone else feel like you come alive this time of year?

Here’s what’s going on in the month of October:
Fall Porches & Decor
I’ve never had much of a porch to decorate, but I will have a front porch and steps at the new house. Although we probably won’t be in the house yet this fall, I get excited thinking about how I’ll decorate my front porch in the future! Here are some of my favorite ideas…

Like so many of you, life always tends to get a little bit busier during the fall. And as we are nearing the final design details of the new house (which is almost fully framed now, by the way!), things are really getting crazy. Still, even in this busy season, I hope to really make the most out this month as the fall season is a short one in Oklahoma. Definitely planning on spending as much time as possible outside and really diving into the cozy vibes this month!
This month Cody and I are also planning a little mini getaway just the two of us. It’s been SO long since we’ve taken a vacation or traveled without the kids! It’ll be my first time leaving Ollie, so just trying my best to not be overly nervous about it. But also so excited to get away for a bit!
