There are many amazing store-bought dressings out there that I love, like this one! However, there’s something special about making your own. For one, you know where every ingredient came from! And I’m just saying…this one’s pretty delish 🙂
With this dressing recipe, you’re actually adding MORE good-for-you things to your salad. As opposed to just covering the salad in a bunch of bad stuff! We’ve all been there, right? I will openly admit that downing raw kale might not be my favorite thing…and that I have definitely covered up the taste with lots of sugar, fat, calories, and not good stuff. I will also openly admit that my husband and I finished off the entire batch of this dressing in less than a week. I put it on my salads, while he used it as a sauce over burgers, tacos, and pretty much every meal he had!
And while we’re being honest, I actually don’t even have a real recipe for this dressing. It’s so simple, I didn’t even have to write anything down! Literally 3 ingredients – avocado, greek yogurt, and lime. So easy, right??
However, I’m still giving you guys a recipe…you know…to make it all official and everything. The BEST way to make this, in my opinion, is to throw everything into this blender and liquify it. It does a great job of getting the consistency this dressing needs! With this blender, it only takes about 5 minutes to make!
Ok ok ok, enough talk! Let’s make this stuff!
3 Ingredient Creamy Avocado Lime Dressing
- 1 avocado
- 1 Tbsp nonfat plain greek yogurt
- 2 limes
- Remove the skin and seed from the avocado.
- Combine avocado, yogurt, and the juice of the 2 limes in the blender and liquify.
- Add water to thin out the dressing (if desired).
- Add salt/pepper to taste!
