I have been LOVING this Banana Split Smoothie Bowl lately for breakfast and as an afternoon healthy ice cream treat. It literally tastes like you’re eating ice cream, and yet it’s filled with healthy protein, nutritious fruit, and so much more. You can adjust the thickness to taste and choose any toppings you want! I love this recipe, and I know you will too. Every spoonful is so good!

What You’ll Need
Banana Smoothie Bowl Base
- Vanilla Protein Powder
- Vanilla Plant-Based Milk – I like using creamier dairy-free milk for smoothie bowls, like soy milk or creamy oat milk.
- Chia Seeds
- Medium Frozen Banana
- Ice Cubes
Optional: mix in a little bit of vanilla extract for that vanilla ice cream flavor!
Banana Split Toppings
- Crushed Pineapple
- Sliced Strawberries
- Cacao Nibs
- Shredded Coconut
- Sliced Bananas

How to Make a Banana Smoothie Bowl
This banana smoothie bowl recipe with banana split toppings could not be easier to make! All you need is a high-speed blender and 5 minutes. Here’s how to make this easy breakfast recipe:
- Place protein powder, milk, chia seeds, frozen banana, and ice cubes in a blender.
- Blend until smooth, it will be thick!
- Pour into bowls and add toppings.
Note: I like extra-thick smoothie bowls that almost have an ice cream texture, but feel free to add more milk to thin out the smoothie if desired!

Banana Split Smoothie Bowl

Banana Smoothie Bowl Base
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 cup vanilla plant-based milk
- 2 Tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 medium frozen banana
- 1-2 cups ice cubes
Banana Split Toppings
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapple
- 3/4 cup sliced strawberries
- 2 Tablespoons cacao nibs
- 2 Tablespoons shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup sliced bananas
Instructions
- Place the smoothie bowl base ingredients in a blender.
- Blend until smooth, stirring as needed (it will be thick).
- Divide into bowls and add toppings.
- Enjoy!
