I can’t decide what these are. Snacks? Dessert? Workout recovery? All of the above (YES)? All I know is that they taste EXACTLY like real cookie dough, and that’s not something to be taken lightly. 😉
There are many ways to consume these wonderful, heavenly Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Energy Bites!
I rolled a few of them into standard energy balls for on-the-go, but I’m not above eating this stuff right out of the jar by the spoonful. After all, that’s how edible protein cookie dough is meant to be eaten!
This stuff is like “I made homemade cookie dough and I just can’t wait for these cookies to bake so I’m gonna eat it all right now”. But it’s egg-free, so it’s safe. And don’t, I repeat, DON’T actually try to bake this dough into cookies! I haven’t personally tried, but I’m just gonna go out on a limb here and assume it probably won’t result in cookies. This dough is to be eaten “raw” only! If you prefer actual cookies over cookie dough, then these Healthy Chocolate Cherry Soft Cookies are totally for you, my friend!
For my vegans: This recipe can EASILY be made vegan! All you have to do is use Vegan Vanilla Protein Powder, Agave Syrup instead of honey, and swap out the dark chocolate chips with Cacao Nibs. So easy!
You can also turn this recipe into cookie dough protein bars. All you have to do is roll it out into a rectangle, slice it into bars, and refrigerate it to let it set. Otherwise, spoonful away! Or add it to this healthy ice cream recipe. The possibilities are endless!
