Not that it’s SO unusual the have Chocolate Protein Pancakes, but it’s definitely something I haven’t made in awhile. Annnnnnd let me tell ya: they do not disappoint!
These Chocolate Protein Pancakes are great for breakfast, dinner, or a post-workout snack!
Who says pancakes need to be reserved for weekend brunch? I love pancakes for weekday breakfasts (and dinners, for that matter). Mocha Peanut Butter Protein Pancakes, Healthy Sweet Potato Pancakes, Healthy S’more Pancakes, Pecan Pie Pancakes….I’ll take them all! But these Chocolate Protein Pancakes are just hitting the spot right now, friends!
How do you make protein pancakes?
The great thing about these protein pancakes is that they’re based off of 3 main ingredients: eggs, protein powder, and a banana. Once you have those 3 ingredients, you can make any variation or flavor that you want!
In this case, I made these Chocolate Protein Pancakes using one of my fave superfoods, Detox Organics Chocolate Superfoods, and added a little bit of cocoa powder for that extra chocolaty taste. I always love incorporating Detox Organics into my chocolate-based recipes because it literally tastes like chocolate milk, blends right in as a powder, and adds so much nutrition to whatever I’m making! Chocolate Protein Pancakes
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup oat flour ((about 1 cup rolled oats, blended))
- 1 banana
- 2 eggs
- 1 scoop protein powder (DF/GF)
- 1 packet Detox Organics Chocolate Superfoods
- 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- pinch of salt
- pinch of cinnamon
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients together.
- Spray oil in a pan and pour a 4-5" dollop of pancake batter for each pancake.
- Cook each pancake over medium-high heat, then flip and cook the other side.
- Serve and enjoy!
