I love this time of year. It’s the peak of fall, and my mind is shifting to the ultimate comfort food recipes along with Thanksgiving ideas. The holidays are finally here and it’s so fun!
This year I am actually not hosting Thanksgiving, which is a nice change of pace. But I’m still planning out a fun dessert (I’m always the dessert girl) or side dish to bring! The kids are getting older so I feel like they can finally really embrace the holiday season, which is so much fun for our family. Atlas (my oldest) LOVES to bake with me (aka mostly eat while we bake recipes), so I definitely want to get him involved with our Thanksgiving dishes this year!

Life Lately
October was a fun month for us. We made it to a pumpkin patch, which of course is always fun, but it was especially fun this year because the boys are finally old enough to really enjoy it and do all the bigger kid things!
We’ve had a few cold fronts come through that made me super excited for the holidays and all the holiday recipes. But I’ve probably said enough about it in this post and most of my posts 🙂 I’m just really obsessed, guys!
Speaking of cold fronts: in September we planted a bunch of juniper trees in hopes that they will grow into a living privacy fence one day. We originally had these planted when we built the house, but they ended up not making it since they weren’t watered for about a month before we closed. I’m REALLY hoping that this new round of trees will make it and get established before winter comes! If any of you are amazing at getting trees to establish their roots and grow, pleeeeease send all of your advice. They are like our little babies (haha) and we just really want them to do well!
We wrapped up furnishing the house this last month (mostly) and had our big photoshoot. It was so fun collaborating with some amazing and creative friends! I can’t wait to show you the photos – hopefully next week!
Also, if you’ve made it this far, we should definitely be friends on Instagram 🙂 Just sayin’! Come over and say hi, I always love hearing from you guys!
