Naan Pizza Recipe Ingredients
Naan works perfectly for a flatbread pizza and the ingredients take just a few minutes to come together. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Naan – Naan is a traditional Indian flatbread that is pillowy soft, chewy, and SO GOOD! Use store-bought or pop into your local Indian restaurant and pick some up. Because it’s fully cooked, our pizzas are done super quickly.
- Ricotta – A soft, mild Italian cheese. You can use lower-fat ricotta or whole milk ricotta for this recipe, or feel free to use whipped or blended cottage cheese for more protein!
- Garlic Powder, Salt, and Fresh Basil – Ricotta is very mild in flavor and the perfect vehicle to impart tons of flavor into each bite of the pizza. You can substitute the fresh basil with 1 1/2 Tablespoons dried basil.
- Spinach and Sliced Mushrooms – A classic pairing, these two ingredients have just enough time to cook and soften while the cheese melts and they taste so good together! I’ve shared more ideas below for other topping ideas.
- Mozzarella – The traditional cheese used on pizzas. Use skim or whole milk mozzarella, whichever you prefer.
- Chili Onion Crunch – A little spicy, and a whole lot of flavor, this oil drizzled over the top of these pizzas takes it from really delicious to over-the-top craveable! You can also use crushed red pepper if you want, instead.

How to Make a Naan Pizza
You will love how quick and easy it is to make these naan pizzas. They will quickly become a go-to meal for your busy weeknights! Here’s how to make them:
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
- Mix the ricotta, garlic powder, salt, and basil and spread it evenly over each naan.
- Top with spinach, mushrooms, and mozzarella.
- Bake until bubbly and browned.
- Drizzled with chili onion crunch, slice, and serve!

Naan Flatbread Pizza Variations
Using Naan flatbread to make pizza is not only super tasty, but it makes things quick and easy. Here are some ideas for other flavors and combos to try:
- Margarita Pizza – Use olive oil and minced garlic on the crust, and top with tomato slices, fresh basil, and fresh mozzarella (or try these Margherita Pita Bread Pizzas)!
- BBQ Chicken Pizza – Use this Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe, top with shredded chicken, sliced red onion, and mozzarella.
- Mexican Pizza – Spread enchilada sauce over the naan, then top with cooked taco meat, diced tomatoes, onions, and black olives and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Drizzle on Cilantro Lime Sauce!
- Thai Chicken Pizza – Spread a thin layer of peanut sauce on the crust, top with shredded chicken, shredded carrots, bell pepper, and mozzarella cheese. Remove it from the oven and sprinkle on crushed peanuts, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.
- Mediterranian Pizza – Use hummus as the base sauce, and top with cucumber, kalamata olives, quartered cherry tomatoes, and feta cheese. Remove it from the oven and top with fresh dill and a drizzle of olive oil.
What to Serve With Spinach Pizza
Spinach naan pizza is great on its own, but it’s even better when it’s paired with a salad or roasted veggies! Here are a few ideas for how to serve spinach pizza:
- Italian Chopped Salad
- Roasted Brussels Sprouts
- Sun-Dried Tomato & Arugula Lentil Salad
- Roasted Asparagus
- Creamy Italian Pasta Salad
- Homemade Tomato Soup
How to Store Spinach Pizza
- Refrigerator – Allow the pizza to cool completely, store in an airtight container, and place in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Freezer – Allow the pizza to cool completely, place in a freezer-safe bag or air-tight container, and freeze for up to 2 months.
- Reheating – I highly suggest reheating your leftover pizza in the air fryer or oven at 375 degrees F for best results. To microwave, reheat from the fridge for 1-2 minutes and from the freezer for 2-3 minutes!
