Dragon Fruit smoothie in 3 glasses topped with goji berries and coconut

Pretty smoothies are the best smoothies! At least that’s my theory. 😉 Especially when a pretty smoothie is rich with antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin A, iron, and fiber. This Dragon Fruit Smoothie is not only amazing for your body, but it’s also deliciously refreshing!

It’s also soooo perfect for this hot weather! There’s nothing I want more these days than something cold after a sweaty workout in the heat (hellllooooo Upper-Body Bleacher Workout & Core Bleacher Workout)!

No but seriously, let’s talk about that post-hot-weather-sweaty-workout thing for sec. I’m not sure if we’ve talked about this before, but it’s super important to recover well from workouts! For me, that typically means a good stretch, lots of water, and a protein shake.

A good shaker bottle makes all the difference, y’all. This week I tried out the Genuine Thermos® Shaker Bottle and was completely blown away about how easy it is to use! It’s easy to take with you on your workout, easy to mix your protein shake in, and super super easy to clean. Doesn’t get any better than that!

In addition to protein shakes, this Dragon Fruit Smoothie with Goji Berries makes a great recovery drink! Think the best ever tropical drink meets healthy benefits. That is THIS.

Is Dragon Fruit a Superfood?

Oh yes, dragon fruits are not only super pretty, pink and delicious but they are packed with antioxidants and high in vitamin C containing 15% of your daily recommended intake. It’s also found to have anti-inflammatory properties and help lower cholesterol.

How to Make a Dragon Fruit Smoothie

What You Need:

  • Dragon fruit
  • Bananas
  • Frozen raspberries
  • Unsweetened almond milk
  • Goji berries
  • Coconut shavings

All I did was blend the ingredients together and then topped the mixture with extra goji berries and coconut shavings! 5 minutes, 5 ingredients. A million delicious points. YAAAS.

Top Tips for Making a Dragon Fruit Smoothie

  • Frozen fruit helps create a thick and creamy consistency and makes your smoothie extra cold.
  • Bananas are a healthy way to create a creamy and delicious smoothie so if you leave it out bear in mind the texture will change.
  • You could use any nut milk in the recipe.
  • Top the smoothie with any fruits, nuts or seeds.
  • Make this into a smoothie bowl and top with other fresh fruits and homemade granola.
