Ya’ll, the Fourth of July is RIGHT around the corner! Can you believe it? Today we’re getting our USA feels on with these Patriotic Mini Fruit Tarts! 😉
I haven’t lived in my hometown for several years now, so there’s nothing like getting to see my family on this holiday. After months of being homesick, it’s so refreshing to get to go home during this time of year and enjoy celebrating the entire day with them by my side!
The years that I can’t make it home, I love celebrating with my close friends and spending the day with them. Every year is different, but every year I’m surrounded by people that I love. And for that, I am SO grateful!
I mean, the food on the Fourth of July is pretty great, too! You can read all about my favorite food traditions to celebrate on this holiday. Hamburgers and ice cream? Yes, please and thank you! Let’s throw in some strawberry shortcake, while we’re at it. 😉
These Patriotic Mini Fruit Tarts are a great (and healthy) way to celebrate!
It’s not often that you’ll find me getting all artsy here on Jar Of Lemons, as I am simply incapable of making crafty things look good. Heck, I can’t even color between the lines! But be proud of me, friend, because today I ventured out and tried to make these Patriotic Mini Fruit Tarts look like little flags. I know! I’m shocked, too.
Successful or not, I can definitely vouch for how they taste! And that would be AHHHHHMAZING. Sweet, creamy, melt-in-your mouth treats that we can all feel good about!
Other Berries You Can Use
So because these little fruit tarts are patriotic fruit tarts I had to go with blueberries and strawberries because the colors and contrast between them were just perfect. But, really you can use any berries you like if you want to stick to the theme then try and stick with something red to replace the strawberries such as raspberries or redcurrants.
How to Make Patriotic Fruit Tarts
